Parking
Samuell-Grandfeatures several parking areas near and around the theatre. Attended parking lot areas are $5 per car. There is no charge to park on the street. Shakespeare Dallas members receive a complimentary parking pass for use in the attended lot. Annual parking passes are also available for purchase for $15. Moody Performance Hallfeatures numerous paid parking lots around the venue including covered garage parking. This is self-pay; your Shakespeare Dallas parking pass does not apply to this location.
Seating
In all lawn areas of the Samuell-Grand, including the Members Only section, guests are expected to honor the following arrangement: blankets closest to the front, sand chairs in the middle, high back chairs in the back (a sand chair is a short lawn chair with a back that is 16 inches or less, a high back chair is a chair with a back that is 16 inches or higher). The middle section of the lawn is reserved specifically for Shakespeare Dallas Members and Benefactors. General admission seating is located on either side of the lawn. Special groups are provided with reserved seating either in the Sherry W. Shannon Pavilion or in the general admission section of the lawn. Pavilion seating is available only at our Samuell Grand location. All guests are encouraged strongly to be considerate of those around them by looking to make sure a fellow audience member’s view is not blocked by a high-back chair. For audience comfort and convenience, Shakespeare Dallas offers sand chairs for rent at $5 each or 2 for $8. All shows taking place at the Moody Performance Hall, Members receive 1/2 off tickets for general admission seating. Premium seating is also available for an additional cost. Premium seating is located in the orchestra center, rows D-K and row N.
Food and Alcohol Policy
At Samuell-Grand, patrons are more than welcome to bring outside food. You may also arrange for a pre-show food delivery with DoorDash or UberEats. Adults 21 and over are welcome to bring beer and wine to the park, however we do not permit the consumption of hard liquor on our property. Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the Moody Performance Hall. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as light food items are for sale within the venue.
Pets
For the safety and comfort of all visitors, pets are not allowed in the park. Only service animals assisting visually impaired or disabled guests will be admitted. If you have a well-behaved dog who loves Shakespeare, be on the lookout for our Bark-at-the-Park events, where we allow canine patrons for one night only!
Wheelchair Accessibility
We have ADA compliant seating at the Samuell-Grand. Please see a staff member or volunteer if you need help determining the best route for a wheelchair. Wheelchair access at the Moody Performance Hall for the hall is available at Flora Street and Jack Evans Street.
Refunds/ Exchanges
Shakespeare Dallas has a strict no refund policy, except for the over-charging of goods and services (for example, purchasing 2 tickets and being charged for 4). In the event of a weather-related cancellation of a show, rain checks are issued so that our patrons may have every opportunity to see another performance. Refunds may only be issued for show cancellations during the last weekend of performances.
While it is usually sunny and breezy at the park, weather conditions in North Texas can change rapidly. No performance will be cancelled due to weather prior to show time. The decision to delay or cancel a performance is made at curtain/start time nightly, 8:15pm for summer performances, 8pm for fall performances. Our social media pages will be updated with the most recent information available on cancellations.
If you’d like to change your date, you may request a transfer via Eventbrite. Subject to availability.
